Matsumoto Shoko

Matsumoto Shoko is a female character in the film Blank, portrayed by actress Tabata Tomoko. She is the ex-wife of fisherman Soeda Mitsuru and the mother of middle school student Soeda Kanon. She chose to divorce her husband Soeda Mitsuru because of his violent temper, and thereafter their daughter Kanon lived with her father Soeda Mitsuru. After her daughter Kanon died in an accident, Matsumoto Shoko attempted to view her remains but was strongly blocked by Soeda Mitsuru, and this incident became an important turning point that drove the development of the plot.
