Riko

Riko is the protagonist of the Japanese animated series Pokémon Horizons and its derivative works, voiced by Minori Suzuki, Alejandra Reynoso, and Lin Peiling. This girl from Small Spoon Town in the Paldea Region travels to the Kanto region to attend Quartz Academy after inheriting a pendant from her grandmother Diana. After moving into Dormitory 303, she receives her first partner Pokémon, Sprigatito, from her homeroom teacher. Her introverted and sensitive nature often causes her to hesitate during battles as she is considerate of others, but she gradually grows through her kindness towards Pokémon and her talent for observation. The pendant is actually the manifestation of the Legendary Pokémon Terapagos, which attracts the pursuit of the Bremelo Exploration Team. While resisting their pursuit, Riko triggers the pendant's protective mechanism and subsequently joins the Rising Volt Tacklers to embark on an adventure. She later catches Pokémon such as Hatenna and, alongside her teammate Roy, seeks the Six Hero Pokémon left behind by the ancient explorer Lucius.During multiple confrontations with the Explorers, Riko gradually masters the power of Terastallization, with her signature phrase "Shine bright!" accompanying her awakening in battle. Ultimately, she inherits Lucius's will and, working together with Legendary Pokémon, completes her transformation from a timid student to a trainer.
