Miyuki (also translated as Miyuki) is a romance manga created by Japanese manga artist Mitsuru Adachi, serialized since 1980, with 12 collected volumes. The work, together with , won the , and was adapted into a 37-episode anime of the same name by Fuji Television in 1983.The story revolves around the emotional entanglements of Masato Wakamatsu, a high school student with an idle disposition who is poor at both academics and sports, with Miyuki Kashima, his gentle and beautiful classmate, and Miyuki Wakamatsu, his lively and cute stepsister with no blood relation. Masato and his stepsister came to live together because of the remarriage that blended their families; although they addressed each other as brother and sister, through their daily interactions they gradually developed feelings beyond familial affection. Through trivial everyday episodes, the work depicts the inner conflict of an adolescent boy facing a choice in love, and in the end Masato confesses his true feelings at his little sister's wedding. As a work from the transitional period of Mitsuru Adachi's creative style, it has a loose narrative structure but delicate emotional portrayal, focusing on interactions between characters and featuring no traditional villain.
